Creedence attended Hope & A Futures Teen Reach Adventure Camp in the summer of 2009. Once she turned 18 she became a volunteer and still serves today. She has volunteered with H&F for 8 years now. In December of 2019 Creedence received her degree from Grand Canyon University in Educational Studies. Creedence was able to attend GCU through the John S. Brewer Memorial Scholarship provided by H&F.

In September Creedence started her first career job working for Cartwright School District in the employee daycare. She is an Instructional Assistant at Cartwright Elementary School.

When asked what her long-term goals where regarding her career she said, “My long-term goal is to teach 1-year-olds and help them grow before moving up to the next level which is when they are two years old. Also, to make an impact on their life.”

Because Hope and A Future made an impact on Creedence’s life when she needed it most, she is now making an impact on others’ lives.

ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP FUND

John S. Brewer was an older brother to Michael Brewer, one of the founders of Hope & A Future.  John deeply believed in the mission of Hope & A Future and the scholarship fund was established in his honor through donations the organization received when he passed away from cancer in 2007. Since its inception, the scholarship fund has also received donations in memory of Gail Price Olson and Mary Lou Brewer Goss.
