Transitional Housing Program
For Arizona Foster Youth
Every year, 1000 Arizona foster youth will age out of the system when they turn 18. 25% become instantly homeless. 30% become incarcerated for some offense. By the time the young adult is 24, only 50% will be employed and the average annual salary for those with a job is $7,500.
Starting in 2024, Hope & A Future began its Transitional Housing Program, which provides room & board and support to help with life skills needed for independence. Assistance includes bi-monthly check-ins, job training assistance and educational support.
Currently, we have two transitional housing units for former foster youth. Our vision is to increase the number of transitional housing units to 10 by 2025.
Hope & A Future needs to raise $3 million to continue expanding the transitional housing program. Please consider making a donation to support and expand this initiative.
