Qualified Charitable Distributions
from your IRA
Did you know that making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) from your IRA is a smart way to help foster youth while saving on taxes?
Tax Savings
If you are 70 1/2 or older, QCDs allow you to donate directly from your IRA to a qualified charity like Hope & A Future, reducing your taxable income. This can be especially helpful because you don’t need to itemize your deductions. To qualify for 2026, this Must be completed by December 31st.
Required Minimum Distributions (RMDs)
If you’re 73 or older, QCDs can count toward your RMDs, allowing you to meet your distribution requirements while helping foster youth through Hope & A Future.
Limits
Each eligible IRA owner can exclude up to $111,000 in QCDs from their taxable income in 2026.
