TRAC is a positive, faith-based summer camp experience that offers hope and encouragement to foster children who are 12 to 15 years old that may have suffered abuse, neglect or abandonment.

The camp is specifically designed to ensure the success of every foster child who attends camp. Each three-day camp provides a unique ratio of one counselor to every two children, and each camp is single-gender to promote a greater level of comfort between staff and attendees.

Through quality time with each child and encouragement, each child leaves camp with a positive outlook on life.  Campers explore the wilderness, care for animals, ride on horseback and participate in a low-level challenge course that helps the children recognize the importance of self-respect, teamwork and communication while having fun.

During the week we celebrate Princess and All-Star Program – a time of cake, games, and presents – to celebrate each and every child’s special day. At camp, they are constantly affirmed through compassionate care and love.

A background check is conducted on every volunteer who also receive intensive training to manage any behavioral or emotional issues during the camp. Medical personnel are also available to administer first aid and medication. Of course, all medications are controlled within a secure, confidential location at camp.  All campers are afforded complete confidentiality, which means no promotional pictures or unauthorized cameras on campus.  However, our staff will take pictures as keepsakes for the children and the children receive a camp scrapbook with the pictures at the end of camp.

One of the most powerful things you can convey to a teenage girl is that they are beautiful inside and out. That is the ongoing mission of the Arizona Princess Program – to give teenage foster girls an evening that celebrates how truly wonderful they are.

With the help of the local business community, the girls are pampered with formal dresses, shoes, jewelry and professional makeup assistance. Following the makeover, the girls are treated with a five-course meal and an evening of dancing. For the girls and volunteers, it is a night they won’t ever forget.

Can you help?  Here are 3 ways you can get involved:

    • Dress Drive: Many of the dresses and accessories are collected through community “Dress Drives.” To organize one in your community, sign up as a volunteer.
    • Vendor Donations: We rely on the support from the community for supplies for the day of the event for items like, flowers, linens, place settings and food.  If you are vendor and would like to provide your services please send us an email.
    • Sponsorship: Want to help sponsor a princess? It only costs $150 per foster child. To help in part or full, make your donation now.

Within every teenaged boy, there are All-Star qualities just waiting to emerge. And through the Arizona All-Star Program, our foster boys are reminded by real life All-Stars how setting goals, working hard and never giving up are qualities they can use to help overcome obstacles in their own life.

Throughout the year, the All-Star Program coordinates luncheons, meetings and other events with local celebrities, athletes, musicians, businessmen offering their own life lessons and stories of perseverance. The boys often have a chance to personally interact with the All-Star, whether it is throwing a football around with an Arizona Cardinal football player, playing an instrument with a musician, or even skateboarding with a professional.

Can you help?  Here are three ways you can get involved:

  • Volunteer: If you are you a community leader who can volunteer your time to encourage the boys, please contact us.
  • Vendor Donations:  We rely on the support of the community for donations to provide the boys with items like sports memorabilia, musical instruments, shoes and clothing.  If you are vendor and would like to help provide these donations, please send us an email.
  • Sponsorship: Want to sponsor a boy for our events?  It only costs $150 per foster child.  To help in part or full, make your donation now.
