CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION

For many children facing challenges, the holidays can be especially difficult. For the over 10,000 foster children living away from their parents in Arizona, they can be a time of profound sadness.

So in order to lift their spirits and provide positive holiday memories, Hope & A Future hosts a Christmas Celebration for the foster children who have Royal Family Kids' Camp or Teen Reach Adventure Camp in Arizona. Since 2005, we have invited any and all children who’ve ever taken part in these programs, their foster families and their group homes. As you can imagine, this celebration has grown exponentially over the years, becoming a great reunion event for children and volunteers alike.

The Christmas Celebration is held at the Phoenix Zoo, which includes the Phoenix Zoo Lights activities for everyone. We provide a catered dinner for those in attendance, entertainment, arts and crafts for the children, holiday desserts, and gifts for each child.  The gifts include appropriate age-specific toys and new articles of clothing for each child.

Can you help?  Here are three ways you can get involved:

• Volunteer: If you are you a community leader who can volunteer your time to help organize this holiday event, please contact us.
• Vendor Donations: We rely on the support of the community for donations to provide funding for the entire Christmas Celebration event, including the dinner, crafts and Zoo Lights pass. If you are vendor and would like to help provide these donations, please send us an email.
• Sponsorship: Want to sponsor a foster child for this event?  To help in part or full, make your donation now.
